"Boats at the Barns" is held annually on the beautiful grounds of the Gilmore Car Museum, one of the nations top antique auto museums. Antique boats, 25 years or older, are displayed with vehicle's of the same vintage. In doing so we visually demonstrate the relationship between automobile and boat design. Helping us to see and understand the history, technology and manufacturing advancements that went hand in hand.
The 2007 People's Choice Awards were: 1st Place a 1913 Fay-Bowen launch behind a 1913 French Gobron skiff-car. 2nd Place a 1942 Chris-Craft runabout pulled with a 1948 Mercury. 3rd Place a fully equipped 1960's era wooden fishing boat pulled with 1962 Jeep Scout.
In 2008 we expanded the show to include fiberglass boats, aluminum boats, cartop boats, folding boats, canoes and Amphicar's.
